Our team from TLA, alongside colleagues from Haymarket Media Group, and agencies across the industry completed the 22-mile hike across Box Hill, Leith Hill, and Holmbury Hill.
Despite a couple of minor injuries along the way, every one of us made it to the finish, and all for a fantastic cause. It's part of our commitment to raise £10,000 for the Trust by the end of October, alongside Anton Hanley, our CEO, joining The King's Trust CEO Challenge and our TLA colleagues running the Frankfurt Marathon.
Here's how the day went.
We met our guides at 8:30am and set off straight away through the vineyard (a little taste of the south of France in Surrey), then crossed the River Mole on the stepping stones and headed up Box Hill. We summited midway through the morning, with views across Dorking and the valley to the two peaks still to come.
Making good time, by 1pm we'd reached the tower on Leith Hill, the highest point in the Surrey Hills, and stopped for lunch. Then it was down through beautiful woodland and up Holmbury Hill, which gave us a full sweep of the valley in the mid-afternoon.
After a quick drink stop came the final leg: a long, flatter trek through the Surrey countryside, one last killer ascent and back around Box Hill, though thankfully not to the summit, to a well-deserved meal at the Stepping Stones pub, bringing the route full circle.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and to our fantastic guides.
